The course introduces learners to basics of effective communication. Emphasis is placed on therapeutic, interpersonal and professional communication skills; and use of information and communication technology in order to provide the highest quality nursing and midwifery care.
The course introduces learners to principles of pharmacology as applied to nursing and midwifery care. The course tackles key areas in nursing and midwifery which includes; preparation, classifications, effects storage and administration of medicines to clients for all ages.
The course covers fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology. Its focus is on the normal structure and functions of the human body as the basis for understanding disease processes and planning of nursing and midwifery care.
